? about Marine Magnum

I've been looking at the marine magnums, and I've noticed that the barrel on some of them looks to be slighly shorter than the mag tube, while others look to be the same length as the mag tube.

At first, I thought this was because one may have a longer barrel, but all claim to have an 18" barrel.

What say you?

No one knows the answer to this?

Edit: Think I found the answer.

There are TWO Marine Magnum Models on Remington site:

"Marine Magnum"

Mag longer than barrel:

And "XCS Marine Magnum":

And mag looks to be about even with end of barrel:

Both have 6+1 capacity, so must just be difference in mag tube construction somehow.

Thanks for the response. I saw that, but I've also seen some of the regular (non-XCS model) Marine Magnums both ways.

Thanks again for taking the time to research for me.:)

No prob...always curious about models of a company's guns that I own some of...I've got two different 870's myself, but not a marine.

I'm guessing you might be seeing previous model variations they've dropped from production or something.
