Well I did it.

I know, I know....why start a thread asking peoples opinions about what to buy if I was going to take it. See thread below.

http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15875

But I was trying to justify spending the money on an AR, and I still haven't convinced myself self to start on a build. So the money I had set aside for that build....................well I spent it today, on a Smith & Wesson model 19-5. It is chambered in the awesome .357mag.

Thanks Chance and Joe for taking the time to answer my questions on the gun before i bought it.

Also, I bought it from the AAA Pawn Shop on old Austin Peay Highway here in Memphis. The store is ran by a very nice guy, who shoots in SASS, and is a supporter of the NRA, (signs in the store promoting both.)Super nice guy, I told him about TGO and he told me about SASS.

Anywho, here are the pictures. GUN PORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never heard of that pawn shop. How are their prices and selection?

A lot of long guns. Prices are typical for Pawn shop. Definitely one of the most friendly pawn shop I have been in.

It is across the street from Raleigh Tire.

Good looking Combat Magnum. I'm digging it. B)

It's even got the original grips! . . . most I see in the shop always have Hogue or Pachmayrs, which basically kills the value--those grips by themselves, I've seen go for $150+ on ebay and gunbroker.com.

Good one!

Wow thats cool:cool:

Maybe I need to take them off, and put another set on it, and just keep the original grips put up.

I am dieing to shoot it.

I might take it out to my dad's place tomorrow or something, just to fire off a few. A friend of mine just bought a new P11 and is wanting to go shoot.

Thanks guys for all the compliments. B)

Nice a .357 will be on my list of handguns to get when I'm 21 I love the looks of that. Range report is definitely wanted!

Mod 19 S&W was my first duty gun it was a great handgun and in the right hands it could not be beat. 125 gr rounds are the best I think for the 357 mag with a 4" tube.

Yes sir they are. It is nothing extravagant, but a hell of a nice guy running it, and another place I can add to my list of "Gun Stores".
