It's probably worth talking about kubatons and monkey fists briefly.

I'm seeing an increasing number of "keychains" that are really fancy brass knuckles - like these: http://www.kochtools.us/product/the-solo-2-0-stainless-titanium

I've got my own opinions - but I'd love to hear others.

Those would be almost as painful to use as to be on the receiving end.

I wonder if this is a restriction per-State or if all States do it the same.  I don't want to assume.

Good idea!

Hahahaha I'll see if we can work that in.

I have a retired LEO friend in Minnesota, and he relays that in that state, you can drink while armed as long as you are not impaired, much like driving.

You can drink in places that serve alcohol in Mississippi while carrying.  TN is probably one of the few places where it is illegal to drink and carry in a place that serves alcohol.

NC also.

Barricading is OK, I reckon, if it's to protect others, AND has a exit they can get out of if the perp finds and breaches the barricade.

I'm perfectly content to be the modern Horatious in such things.

I WILL >>NOT<< DIE ON MY KNEES.

If I have to take a hit in such a circumstance, it'll be trying to wrap up the perp, screw his aim, waste his ammo, and make it hard for him to escape whilst others escape.

Naturally there is the murmur in the background that it is easy to be brave on the other side of a screen. For the which, I rebut that it is easy to be critical on the other side of a screen as well.

No one knows what they'll do until it happens. The road to hell is paved with good intention. No offense intended.

If you're like me, people like that make me lose my temper. Once my Irish kicks in, I get stupid. Got nothing to do with a screen.

That's true, I suppose. But, it's not a total mystery. Everybody has different experiences. If you have been around quite a bit  of violence, you are less likely to piss yourself than somebody that hasn't.
