Where are the Nashville area gun shows?

Recommended Posts

Last year there were gun shows in Murfreesboro and Lebanon every other month or so.  The last ones I remember were in December.  I can't find any gun shows in the Nashville area in the next several months.  Only ones I've found are in Carthage (Smith County) in April and one in Franklin later this year.

Does anyone have any insight as to why?  Am I missing them or searching the wrong sites?  If not, are sales down making the shows unprofitable?  Anti-gun forces pressuring the venues?  Seems like there are regular shows in other parts of the state.

Well, after posting, I thought I should check again since my last gun show search was a few days ago.  The Wilson County Expo (Lebanon, TN) now has a Goodman show scheduled for June, but that will the first one this year as far as I can remember.  Still didn't see any for Murfreesboro.  Maybe I'm searching the wrong places?

I talked to one of Goodmans people, at their last show in Lebanon. He told me they hadn't been able to get in touch with anyone

with any authority to schedule. Folks aren't answering the phone. This seems strange to me, as these folks are normally on the ball,

with events at the Expo. The next show is scheduled for June, and several thereafter.

No folks, you haven't been looking in the wrong place, it's just not there. RK doesn't have anything local ( Lebanon or 'Boro ), either.

Rather strange turn of events ( no pun intended).

Just an aside note FWIW, at the last Goodman show in Lebanon, I was there @ 9AM, practically no one there but me. Parking lot near empty.

Later in the day, I can't say.

Political scene is not gun show or gun owner friendly right now so that is part of the reason I think.

Nashville has been anti guns for quite awhile now.

Plus gun shows have been having more non fire arm related stuff than guns and good deals.

I know the building they used in the 'boro was leased to ATT. They tried the old Fred's building but I think there were a lot of problems with parking.
