Well here is they first boards finished from the logs. I would also like to publically thank my doctor for saving them from a burn pile.

Yeah, I bisquited them together then had a local shop run it through a belt sanding machine to smooth everything out.

Does that shop have a wide planer/sander?

I have 4 slabs, 6' to 10' & max width of around 24". I need them planed.

Any help appreciated.

Vanity top with a vessel bowl. Wife is remodeling the bathroom and rather than go buy a top I figured it was better to use a tree from the property. I built the house using trees I cut off the property.

If you have any left, elm is also a preferred wood for making cutting boards.

That looks really good.  If you haven’t finished it yet I bet some pure tung oil (the real stuff) or just boiled linseed oil would make it pop.

Come pick through what I have. I have some beautiful boards that are too cupped or bowed to work for anything else. Also have some beautiful walnut.
