I already know what most of you think about CNN.  Did you watch their Town Hall meeting last night (Thursday 2/21/2018) and, if so, what did you think?

I am still searching for a video of the entire thing.  Surely CNN has posted it or will but I am in a bit of a rush to get out the door this morning.  In the meantime here is an article from CNN.com on the thing.

I watched it from start to finish and have two pages of notes on a legal pad.  I'll share my thoughts later.

I didn't get to watch it, just now catching the highlights. I see that Rubio caved on a few issues. As others have said, the mood and response after this shooting is one we've not seen before. Students are pissed and they are not backing down. The media is eating it up as well. From what I'm reading, this really wasn't a "meeting" but rather a one sided attack on the GOP and the NRA. I actually like the idea of both sides sitting down to discuss ideas but it has to be done in a way that is productive. One thing I think the GOP needs to do is allow the CDC to study this. By shutting that down it looks like we're afraid of the results.

I watched a good bit of it but it becomes rather tedious when the answer to EVERY question ends up being "assault weapon ban" to the thunderous cheers of ill informed traumatized people (and most likely a peppering of professional protesters/agitators ) . In fact I think the Broward County Sheriff ended every statement he made with "we need an assault weapon ban". Keep in mind this is the same network and same sheriff's office that along with CNN put on an EGREGIOUSLY DISINGENUOUS  hit piece report on "assault weapons" back in 2004 in support of not letting the ban expire where they brought out a FULL AUTO AK and shot cinder blocks with it arguing that those guns didn't need to be "back on the streets". They KNOWINGLY flat out LIED to the entire country about what the 1994-2004 ban even effected....so do we think this thing last night would be anything other than a thinly veiled anti gun pep rally?

I watch a little of the CNN debate and it was typical CNN.  Attack the NRA, attack the GOP, and attack guns.  Dana Loesch ripped the Broward Sheriff over missed red flags and around 39 calls they made to the shooters home.  I also watched President Trumps meeting at the White House which was real heart felt discussion on the issue of violence in our schools.  It was a good discussion on the issue without anyone attacking each other.  Until people realize that gun violence has nothing to do with guns the issue will never get fixed.

I didn't watch it.  I just cannot stomach anything on CNN.  I gave up a long time ago thinking they might do something remotely unbiased.  I did see the meeting at the White House.  We need more of that.  The man speaking for his daughter since "she could no longer speak" made some great points.  He even said quit talking about gun control.  Fix the issue and fight over that another day.

We DO NOT need the CDC to "study" this!

Think for one moment about all the things your tax money is spent on. Do you really want your own money, which you have no choice but to pay, used to take away your rights?

Regardless of where you stand on the issue, you do realize that tax money is being used to support abortion, right?

Think before you speak.

Late to the issue..

CNN had no interest in a 'town hall' meeting. They wanted  a protracted, televised version of a Two Minute Hate, straight  out of Orwell. I submit that belief in anything else is, to put it kindly, taking the short end of a very long bet.
