Prayer request

I just got back home from the MEPS center in Nashville. It was THE hardest thing I've ever done as a Dad to watch my son get on that bus and head out for Parris Island today. Pray for him that the Lord will be with him and give him strength and resilience, and that my son will trust in Him. 

I told him yesterday that even though he may have the blood of warriors coursing through his veins, the blood of the Cherokee, the Seminole, the Blackfoot, the Norseman, all that pales in comparison to the fact that he is covered by the blood of Christ, the Lamb of God, the King of kings, the Lord of lords. I want him to remember that. And to remember that God will never leave him or abandon him.

From a brother to another, Semper Fi! If he has a good mind he will not survive yet thrive in the Brotherhood of the US Marine Corps! One of the few orginizations that still have that pride. God, Country, Corps! Thoughts are with him!

Semper Fi, res308. My SSgt son did 8 years, he's out and becoming a helicopter pilot. His faith is identical to yours. His nickname was Preach, and he was a true warrior for the Lord during his time. Your boy will be fine. God bless you and yours!

Thanks gentlemen. I'm finding myself in a constant state of prayer these days. For years he's been determined to do this. He's at the starting line of realizing his dream he's had since fifth grade.

My Son just reported to his first duty station. The unit is getting ready for deployment, his first. It is a attack helicopter unit. I still worry about him all the time.

I just read this and offered up prayer for him and your family, they are intended to be ours up till the time that they are to go off and be their own person, we then pray and ask that God continue to bless them and keep them safe. You have done your job! And a fine one I am sure!
