That's a Gen 4 upper....^^^

This is my Gen 5 Shrike upper, it has a heat sink inside the rail to cool it down in FA.

The link I attached above is a G6 upper

Quick search showed these rifles as out of stock in several places but Midwest has lowers in stock. FightLite SCR Lower.

Thanks for the link; I'm tempted to order one to try it out.   The SCR has intrigued me for a while; it seems like a smarter Mini-14.

65 clams cheaper at Brownells, and choice of two styles even:

You guys planning to move to CA or NYC?  I can't think of a reason to go to a stock like that unless I had to.  The pistol version I can see for those that don't like the current braces available ,but the rifle??

I can see the rifle version before the pistol. A brace on a AR pistol does more for ya than the birds eye grip on the pistol. Hell, an AR pistol with just a bare buffer tube laid alongside cheek is more precise by far.

Yea, but the problem is sticking a 10.5"  barrel atop one of those things.  Used correctly those braces can be quite accurate.

Well, why put an expensive buttstock like that on an AR upper unless you have to?  And since it must be sold as a rifle lower, why waste $200 on doing an SBR on it?  So with the pistol version, you have a lower you can do a rifle upper on, and change out the stock.

Ah, I see. Makes sense.

One thing misstated though, a receiver with a buttstock attached is still "other firearm", not a "rifle lower". Of course you couldn't put a short barrel on it of course without a stamp, so that's still a valid point.
