TRWA office forced to leave

Well, to be fair, the regional manager isn't the one who made the officer leave.  That was done by a moron manager at the store level, and chances are that moron manager himself/herself agreed with the mentally-ill customer on at least some level otherwise they would have told the mental person that they were being unreasonable, perhaps even insane, and that they should enjoy their Bloomin' Onion, STFU, and leave the officer alone.
One would hope that the "appropriate corrective action" taken with the moron manager either imbued them with common sense that they previously did not possess, or gave them clear parameters for correctly dealing with this sort of thing in the future.
Hopefully you are correct. According to the article it sounds like two moron's were needed to make the decision.

What makes me sad is that there wasn't another customer present to loudly protest how unsafe the mentally-ill customer was making them feel.  That would have really made it a circus!

Mentally ill people like that female customer shouldn't be allowed to roam the streets and frequent Outback Steak House like this.

I come across people in public on a regular basis that make me wonder who ties their shoes for them in the morning.

Hope I'm present when something like this occurs in my presence.  It will be my first public scene in my life and probably well worth it.  Guess to follow all the current phrases, Libtard Snowflakes = triggered

Or how they find their way to work.

You have to hit refresh, but I was able to bring up their "contact us" link off the main site on the bottom of main page.  Light em up.

I did. No more money to any of their brands will come from me or my family.

If the store is posted legally, didn't he break the law?  If he isn't there for duty reasons, isn't he bound by the same laws as the rest of us?  I think the fine is $500.

See 39-17-1350:

"(a)  Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, any law enforcement officer may carry firearms at all times and in all places within Tennessee, on-duty or off-duty, regardless of the officer's regular duty hours or assignments, except as provided by subsection (c), federal law, lawful orders of court or the written directives of the executive supervisor of the employing agency."

(much more, with some exceptions, see full statute, but none of them would seem to prohibit eating at a restaurant, posted or not).

Game  Wardens in certain cases have more jurisdiction than local law enforcement. If they have probably cause that you have poached a deer or other wild game and it is in your house they don't need warrant to search your home and property.

In many states the Game Wardens are the law in the woods and on the waters and local law enforcement is their back up. As far as the woman getting upset she was probably looking for a free meal and her 5 minutes of fame which she probably go both. I quit going to to Outback years ago and have never been in a Panera Bread and have 1 two blocks from my house.

Someone mentioned they wish that all the law abiding 2nd Amendment people would just quit going to the posted locations 1 of 2 things would happen. The companies would go bankrupt or the signs would come down.  I don't see it happening but sure would be nice just to watch the big companies squirm a little.........JMHO

The people who elected Obama…twice, and voted for Hillary Clinton will seek out gun free zones. So I doubt they will go bankrupt. But that’s just a WAG. :D

I’d concur. The reality is that the “folks like us” that many of y’all see as the majority in this country simply aren’t.

I spend a week with my mom every other month, and we eat out every day. I go where she wants. That includes Panera, Outback, Cracker Barrel , all three of which have had anti-gun issues in one form or another. Probably some other places.

Of course the Kahr in my pocket doesn't care.

Before my mother passed I took her out every Sunday for dinner and every Sunday we went to a Truck Stop up on I- 65 at Bethal Road. I asked he one time why she always wanted to eat at the Truck Stop and her reply was the food and the atmosphere. She did have a point. The folks were always friendly and the food was always good and it was never to crowded and there were no signs............

You're probably right.  This forum seems to be made up of people that have better than average knowledge of the issues.  Yet half of the people here choose to patronize those anti 2A businesses.  If we can't even get the gun community on board with a boycott there is no chance that we will ever have an impact.

A TWRA officer in uniform was asked to leave the OutBack Steak House in Cleveland TN last night because he would not leave his pistol in his truck. I wont put his name on here but it is all over face book including the OutBack face book page. Story is the officer went in the restaurant to eat with his wife and after ordering their food the manager came to the table and ask the officer to remove his pistol and leave it in his truck and the officer advised her that he could not do that because he was in uniform and on duty. The manager made a phone call and came back and asked the officer and his family to leave the restaurant. Later the manager called the officer and apologist and said she would send a $100 dollar gift card for area restaurants . The manager stated that a female customer had complained about the officer having a weapon and that the female felt her life was endanger because cops shoot people all the time even went as far as to make the manager escort the customer to her car because she was afraid the officer would be waiting on her in the parking lot.

This has gone viral on FB with local news made aware of it also. I call BS on the customer complaint but if it is true I really fell sorry for someone to be that afraid of law enforcement.
I will never walk in the door of OutBack.

Copied off another forum.

I think all law enforcement officers should boycott outback.

So this pommeshanniy female, who thinks that an officer IN UNIFORM is going to waste his valuable time to lay in wait for her ridiculously stupid carcass, gets to have him leave the restaurant, and nothing happens to her. HE gets smears, and SHE snipes. No mention of HER name, I see. So much for confronting one's accuser, never mind due process.

The officer was a class act in this, as he could have just dug his heels in and asked to be shown where was the appropriate signage forbidding his carry, and for the exemption this establishment had that could make him not carry. Instead, as stated, he was a class act, and the female was being some self-entitled HCI charlie uniform november tango, looking for fame, a power trip, a free meal, or any combination. Or so I see it.

My restauranting out here has been to one of the 'locals' casinos. They serve well, of good size and quality of portion. The firearms situation is clearly posted at all doors, and in-uniform LEO is exempt.   The above female would have  surrounded by the casino security, perp-walked to their offices and read off the property as an undesirable, never to return, on pain of arrest. She could have pitched all the screeching she wanted, too... no one would have given two s*bleep*s or a good g*bleep*.

I should think the manager would have WANTED the officer over the harpy... "We're so good, LEO comes HERE!"

If it hasn't been figured out, I am fully on the side of the officer, and Outback etc will not be receiving my patronage, ever.

One of my favorite posts on any forum ever was one in which you stated, "I go to restaurants to eat, not to read."
