Cheap AR Lowers

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I keep getting emails for $29 lowers. Thought about picking up one or two for investment purposes. If (when) politics swings back the other direction, I thought it might be nice to have a couple stockpiled. I don't need one right now, in fact I have a nice Spikes lower that I have not finished putting together. And I keep thinking my next build would be a 9mm, so the cheap ones wouldn't work for that either.

What do you all think? Am I just wasting my time?

I ordered 3 the other day for $29 each from SurplusAmmo.com. It was a good deal but I’ve been getting the run around with getting them shipped since I ordered them. Next time I’ll wait till Primary Arms or another more reputable company. I’d like to have 10 sitting in the safe just for hard times or boredom.

I'm not sure that stockpiling items waiting for the next "panic" stage would qualify as a solid investment, but it is true that AR parts can't get any cheaper than they are now ...
