Doug is out of surgery.  He’s not out of the woods yet, but is doing okay right now. They’ve got the breathing tube out.

Right now they’re worried about stroke risk and some clots.

We’ll know more tomorrow, but be prayerful he can get some rest and begin the process of healing.

Glad to hear it.  Our 4-year old added Mr. Doug to her bedtime prayers tonight.  She's pretty persistent, so I think God heard her.  :)

Texted with him a little bit ago.  He said they’re unhooking all kinds of stuff and are talking about sending him home this weekend.

I haven’t been able to go by because one of my kids has the flu - and there’s no way I’m risking taking that up in there.  That said, his spirits seem good and he says he’s feeling okay.

I hope they're careful about what they unhook....tell him I said so.

Talked to him today.  Slow progress.  Heart is good.  Hoping to go home soon.

Prayers are very much appreciated.

I had double bypass 2 years ago. Prayer said for you, Doug. Do all your rehab Doug. It helps down the road. Wishing/praying your recovery goes well.

Don't forget to rehab the, "most important", spiritual side as well.
