Taurus PT111 G2 replacement

I’m thinking of replacing my current carry gun. 9mm is fine but I don’t want to add any weight or size, but I would love to add “niceness”. I also don’t want to lose the 12+1 capacity.

Any suggestions?

Not loosing any weight or size is going to be the challenge.

Personally, I would vote for the FNS9 compact. Solid gun. Higher capacity but a little larger footprint which, in my opinion, makes for a much more shootable gun. Carry a 17 round mag as back up if you want. Comes with the spacer/adapter/thingy in the box and the higher capacity mag.

I would recommend the S&W M&P 2.0 compact. Its about the same grip length, but longer in the barrel. Its also a available with a thump safety, like the Taurus has.

If the short barrel is important then the Sig P320 sub compact fits the bill, but a lot more $$$

The M&P is one of the nicest well rounded pistols out there.

Good luck
