I'm far more interested in their PCC. 9mm and will accept Glock mags, takedown model with 10/22 part cross compatibility.

ETA - missed the thread on it in Long Guns.

Looks like a refreshed SR9.  Another fish in an already big pond.

Yeah it does doesn't it.

Ruger ain't scared of ugly are they?

I think Ruger tries to make it as cheap as they can and it still be functional. Design and aesthetics be damned.

Not really. The pond with the G19 in it had only that in size and capacity until the M&P 2.0 Compact. This would be fish #3.

Specifically that exact size and exact capacity, yes. But there's lots of other guns within a couple rounds capacity and fractions of an inch that do exactly the same thing.

Seems particularly odd that Ruger would market 3 models that are nearly identical... SR9, 9E, and now this.

But those guns have never obtained the popularity the 19 has.

And neither will this one...

Doubtful that any gun will overtake the popularity of the 19, certainly not in a year or two. Give others the 30+ years the 19 has had, and at that point reassess.

Aluminum chassis , so looks like it may have a removable fire control system like the Beretta APX . Maybe that means a smaller frame will come next to drop the chassis inside of ?

I can’t keep up with Ruger.  So they now have three budget lines of 9mm’s?

Well, I dunno. The American and SR series is priced pretty much like it's competitors, if either are among the three you mention.

This Security isn't even striker fired, but a DAO variant.  Who has a LCP II? Does it really perform with a "short, crisp feel and positive reset of a single action" ?

I do, and yes.

Does it annoy anybody else that once again a gun company has resurrected a classic model name and put it on just another piece of plastic? This stuff pisses me off no end. :wall:  :poop:

Screw this new junk and bring out a short run of brand new P-Series P89's  I'd be in line to buy 3 !!!!! They are big and chunky but they are reliable as a Glock 17 gen 2. I bet they'd sell more than they could imagine.

Well we will have to wait and see how folks like it when they put their money out for it.

Presumably reliable $300-ish 15+1 mid size 9mm with good trigger (according to both Ruger and Harp).

Assuming it doesn't need a recall, seems they couldn't go far wrong.
