Ruger’s New Pistol Caliber Carbine (9mm)

Just came here to post this and yes, it is ugly.   Apparently, Ruger has yet to find a graphic designer or someone with some sense of aesthetics, but it is interesting.

Has interchangeable mag wells for use with Ruger SR-style or Glock mags.  Big, huge bonus right there.  I also like the take-down capability.

I kind of like the fact that it's ugly. I'd be more likely to toss it in the truck and not worry about it getting scratched. I like the fact that it takes Glock mags.

Man that's ugly. Looks like a Hi-Point. Only uglier.

It ain’t exactly Hi-Point ugly but close.

Reminds me of a Remington Viper, one of the ugliest (and biggest POS) rifles ever invented.

I like the idea but will wait awhile until the recall is done and maybe some other variations are introduced.

Other that break down, how is this much better than a AR-9?

It's actually ergonomic, lol.

Maybe, but I think makers are trying too hard to fill a niche that is already pretty crowded.

I like it. Just have to decide if I need a second 9mm carbine to go with my KelTec Sub 2000. The Glock mag makes it a winner for me, getting tired of all the different mags I have to keep track of.

If they offer it in 357 sig (or dare I hope 10mm) I would buy one for all of our vehicles.

I'd be interested in a 10mm or 45.

Ok I am intrigued....off subject.. is that a head of broccoli on top of a propane tank, IN a tire? Award for most random stuff in a gun pic...

Neat, but oddly enough, I'm pretty happy with my Hi-Point 995TS.  Not sure the Ruger is worth 3 times the cost of a Hi-Point.  Yeah, I know I'm weird.

Ugly? Looks similar to a 10/22 to me.

If y'all think that's ugly, have you seen a Glock lately?

Hedge apple or Osageorange fruit . Tire keeps the tank from moving. Yes the rifle in the OP is ugly!

I don't mind the looks. Have been considering an AR-9 build for a while to use Glock mags, this may scratch that itch.

Throw on a Magpul stock, a 10/22 trigger, and have some fun.
