This class was awesome! The instructors were great, and the one on one training was excellent. There were three police officers teaching the class, and all did a great job in instilling confidence in the attendees. The insights that the instructors gave into their police work and how the techniques can be applied from a non LEO standpoint were spot on. The pressure point instruction and the strike techniques were a lot of fun to learn. I especially appreciate the extra time that was spent making sure each individual knew each technique. A professional job. I really recommend this class to anyone who is wanting some extra training. Thanks again to Mike, Sam, Justin, and Jeff for offering this to everyone. I know Mike took pictures and hope he is arranging something for everyone here to see.

Here are a couple that I have...

As far as the pressure point techniques, I did go into the class expecting to come out like this guy...

The reality of it is, the confidence level you attain in this class is excellent. Especially once you practice the techniques on beating the crap out of each other with the safety gear.

Wow, Sam looks straight up gangsta with that watchcap.

I didn't recognize him when I walked into the room. I told him he looked like he might be selling meth, and he needed to start working undercover.

I hope you did notice the pressure points didn't work on everyone even with Jeff and Justin applying the techniques to a compliant person. As they stated, you have to adjust for different people and body types. For non-combative situations they have a place.

Buy a good baton and wait impatiently for your card. I have my baton on the way.

Yes, you have armored jowls, I remember. That's why we all wrote down to just shoot you.

But did no one die from the training?!?!?! I thought we established in the other thread that when LEOs teach this to civilians, people would die?!?!?!

They did, but they are covering it up. Part of their LEO government conspiracy that dates back to 9/11 and the Lindbergh baby.

Only one little injury and it was while disproving what some baboon told Phantom about training sticks. IOW, not class related just at the same location during the lunch break. They were very careful about what was done to people. They didn't even put Sam in the hitman suit and let people whack him. I was looking fwd to smacking him in the suit.

Poor Sam was scared. I was also looking forward to dropping the dum dums on him in the suit, while showing how to apply the techniques of course :P.

I'd have been willing to put the suit on and let people swing.

Ummmm, it wouldn't have fit you. Its really tight on Sam, which is kinda funny on its own.

I knocked the bloody hell out of my instructor during training. He put the red man on and he stepped right as I swung and it went right between the two pads and hit his upper leg.

Good hit, but he was bruised pretty good.

I'm glad everyone had fun in the class, I hope you never have to use what I taught you, but if you do then kick somebody's butt with it and let me know how it went.

Sorry about that knuckle George. I kind of over extended on that back handed swing. Think we'll stick with the foam cased nylon bars for training purposes though. Those damned rattan sticks are tough and could cause serious injury.

Dangit, now I wish I'd had the cash to take the class too, or at least been out of school to sit and watch!

I felt bad for my instructor, he figured out that I had some prior training and wanted me to assist him in showing how a trained person might resist. Not only did I end up kicking him in the ding ding with a heel hook, I also hyper extended his knee all in the same move. I told him prior to doing all that what I would be doing and not to resist it or he can get hurt, that if he just went with it, he wouldn't be harmed. Well, he moved in and got the ding ding kick and then tried to turn away and as I was rolling his knee got twisted under him. Suffice to say, we had a different teacher the next day and there was no more ad libbing the training.

That's what happens with rookies.

I told you rattan wasn't going to break.

Do you have to have a permit to carry one of these? What about carrying in the vehicle?

Yes you need a permit to carry a baton. The PPCT/EB class this thread is in reference to meets the requirements to get a permit.
