Keeping members in your thoughts this holiday season

This week I've been reaching out to some members who haven't been on much lately - many of whom just have as much as they can bear going on in their lives.

As you're giving thanks this holiday season, take a moment to look around you and take note of all that you've been given - because life can change so fast.

Give thanks.

Many of you know and have relationships with some of the folks I've been talking to, and I don't need to mention them here. But, for those of you who are longtime active members and know folks who haven't been on much, reach out.  People always appreciate knowing that someone is thinking about them.

That, and praying for them. I might not know who they are, but that doesn't matter. Sometimes we can get selfishly caught up in our own lives and we forget about others who just might not have it so good right now. Thank you for bringing this up and keeping things in perspective.

I will gladly keep everyone on TGO in my prayers. I only know a few members personally but everyone here has helped me keep my sanity lately, and that's saying something!

This is a great community and I'm happy I can participate.

We've got some folks who've got really hard paths in front of them for a while.  Whether health issues, or family stuff, or both - some folks are having a really hard time.

They can use your prayers.

It brings to mind the old Ian Maclaren quote, "Be kind, for everyone you know is fighting a hard battle."

Got a member with some serious health issues going on today - y'all's prayers would be greatly appreciated.

This seems like a reasonable thread to say hi again in. [emoji1]

Hi y’all. My world went to #### and I’m slowly picking up the bits and pieces. I love it.

Hope everyone is doing well. [emoji1]

I was thinking about you the other day!

Glad to hear things are going okay.

Don’t be a stranger.

Don’t be a stranger.

Ended a 12 year relationship, ex went nuts afterwards. I couldn’t go home for fear of my own life. I lost everything, even took my clothes and the light bulbs. I think the only reason I got to keep my dog is because she’s always with me. I got my 20 year old truck and the contents. House too, but not until the ex gutted it.

Had a ranch accident, almost lost part of my right hand. Kept it, but half is totally numb now. My truck blew a head gasket, transmission seal and fuel pump all in one week, then I wadded it up with a trailer on the ice and crushed the driver door. Lost a heifer and her calf during birth.

Started smoking again and don’t want to hear s**t about it. 🤣

Been a fun couple months. Slept in the truck a lot, slept out at the cattle lease land a lot. I was pretty tense so when the girl in the ranch owned rental house called me late one night and said there was a strange man sitting in her driveway and seemed to be looking at all the equipment we have by the fence we went zero to 100 in a split second. I’d picked up another dog by this point, a working line Czech Shepherd with protection and bite work training. It was a surreal event, started out on the business end of an 870 and a mean hair missile, ended with is laughing and literally drinking beer on the back of the truck.

And this stuff? Not even the half of it. I got back to WY and we got downright western, boys. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wowzers!

Sorry to hear about the relationship. And the accident.

Sounds like your heading in the right direction, though.  Glad things are looking up.

Door is always open in Tennessee!

If it included a train you would have all the parts of a country song. lmao.

Glad you came out good at the other end of it. Crazy Ex's are the worst. I had one that kept calling my Mom to tell her crazy stuff behind my back for years and we only dated 4 months. Lol

Country music can’t handle this anymore. There’s no alcohol, very little pickup truck and no thump and bump hip hop tune. The folks in Texas have a decent handle on it though. [emoji106]

This one called my mother as well. It got bad.

I have friends and a job in TN that would welcome me back with open arms, but I feel at home here and just can’t see myself leaving.

A friend told me the other day that I was Wyoming personified and I think she was right. [emoji38]
