Hello All, had my truck broken into last Monday morning, cut the cable on my lock box and took it with my Colt Delta Elite, 10mm inside. It's Bear coated (HK black), Wilson Combat sights, stippled front strap, beavertail grip safety, VZ grips, and a flat top slide. Serial #DE02366E. I live near Goodlettsville, just north of Nashville. Please keep an eye out and if you happen to see it, please PM me.

I hope whoever stole it shoots their own gnads off with it.

I cannot stand thieves. Good luck.

I have said it before and will say it again. Theft should have some of the stiffest penalties because that is generally where most criminals start. I say make the punishment severe enough that criminals never start down that path.

Hope you get it back.

I assume you have filed a police report. I would also contact your insurance company because you had it secured and it was stolen through no fault of yours. I know some insurance will cover thefts like this.

I had a Glock 23 stolen out of my truck in 1995. Slidell (Louisiana) PD still contacts me each year.

FWIW my homeowners policy covered the theft of gun and related gear that was stolen.

I agree that stiff penalties sans plea bargaining would deter at least some of this. I too deplore a thief. Scum!

Thanks all for the support.  My vehicle was part of a rash of car burglaries that happened last week near where we live.  Apparently, the group showed up ready to do serious business.  If you're driving north on New Shackle Island road near Long Hollow Pike, police have set up electronic signs telling folks to lock their cars up at night.  No luck yet on finding my pistol and the investigating detective (and insurance company) tell me the odds of ever recovering it are slim.  What gets my blood boiling is the chance some goblin is going to use the pistol to hurt innocent folks.

Guaranteed to happen if they take it to church
