Get the KAK buffer tube and use the Shockwave brace it is made for.

If you want a folder use the Stormwerkz AR style folder after drilling and tapping the rear trunion.

I have been perfecting the Draco as a carry pistol for about 5 years now. Here is my latest version.

I was pretty sure you would come in on this one. That Draco is looking fantastic!

Come shoot it, it is even more impressive in person.

I have tuned the gas system and reworked the trigger to make it amazing. It is 100% reliable, accurate and I can carry it anywhere a sidearm is legal.

Like Dolomite said, KAK/shockwave. Once you drill and tap the receiver, the attachment point is a matter of preference.

Here's my latest I just sold.

Not a Draco, but same diff. I like a bit more padding if I "incidentally" misuse a brace, especially with 7.62x39 as opposed to .223. :) SIG SBX brace.

For nearly the same money just SBR it

Already got a Bulgarian Krinkov SBR, I've had for years.

I don't really understand the laws on using a "brace" on a rifle with a barrel under 16" and not having to register it as a SBR.

Non SBR, you can carry it as a pistol with a HCP, you can cross state lines without the hassle of notifying, you can sell the weapon much simpler, and there are far fewer laws in general to hassle with.

The brace is not considered a stock, thus the classification does not push it into NFA purvue. It remains a pistol and can be treated like any common pistol.

Originally as per ATF letters, it was legal to shoulder. Then as per an "open letter", it was not. Now, as per a letter to one manufacturer, it's pretty much legal again as long as you didn't have the evil notion in your heart to built an SBR without paying the tax in the first place. Or something.

Whatever. It's plain by now that ATF has no intention of prosecuting anyone for it regardless of the ruling de jour, or they would have long ago.

Yes, you could but when you SBR it you can no longer carry it because it is no longer a pistol. I could, although I would not, strap it across my back, walk around openly and it would be perfectly legal. A previous version I built was carried by me EVERYWHERE. I kept it, along with spare magazines and other "survival" gear, in a bag designed for a laptop.

Here is an article on it.

I feel the Mini Draco is about as short as one would want to go for a defensive gun. You can still reduce the flash to manageable levels and the velocity is still above 1,900 fps in this short of a barrel. I keep all my defensive AKs loaded with SGAmmo 8M3 "effect" ammunition. It is the ONLY 7.62x39 ammunition I would bet my life on. It has sealed primers and sealed bullets.

Here is a test of the original 8M3.

Here is a test of the current 8M3. SGAmmo had the original manufacturer remake the bullet. That bullet was then sent to Tula to be loaded.
