I keep telling Dad that he needs to get his VA Id card so he can get the free meals. He says he'd rather pay full price than fight the lines!

He really does need to get his ID card so he can use the VA if he needs to.

Does your dad ever shop at Lowe's? They've started accepting these ID's for the 10% discount.

not sure if you guys are aware, but as of this coming Veterans day we will now be allowed to shop on line at the commissary.  and it is something that will remain in effect indefinitely.  My wife is sure excited about it, I might be as well once I find out about being able to buy any guns from them or it would have to be done on base.  Any way not sure if any body here knew about it or not.

I was picked for early trial. Nothing I could not find local cheaper even with no tax. Not impressed. Pretty bummed about it too. Their ammo prices were nuts.

Yeah we wear Lowe's out LOL

LOL, same here. Too bad TSC & Harbor Freight don't do the same.

Now Lowes wants you verify your veteran status online with their MyLowes app rather than showing them your VA or military ID. When they scan my card it automatically deducts 10%. Home Depot does a 10% military discount too but I show my card for that.

I've seen the same thing: however, the CEO said that he wants to get to where he can compete with Amazon. I'm sure you'll start seeing price decreases otherwise he's piss'n up a rope.

Since we are getting a new Rural King in town I wonder if they will. Discount on farm stuff would be good if it stacks with the farm tax number.

I saw an ad today saying TSC (Tractor Supply Company) is giving 15% off to Vets on Saturday.

That's true, but one day only. Better than none tho. LOL

I was at Target today, and got 15% off my purchase with my retired ID. I hadn't heard of them doing anything, but there was a print out on the counter detailing the Veterans Day promotion.
