I first of all have to start out by giving a huge +1 to Guns & Leather. It was a good day. The class could have been worse, but the instructor taught it with a good sense of humor. The video was...interesting. The test was easy and they have a nice range.

Now to go wait in line on Tuesday and start shopping for a CCW gun.

Outstanding. You'll soon join the ranks of responsible citizens who refuse to bow down to criminals and bureaucrats.

There were 38 people in the class. I was shooter #6. The place was packed on *top* of the 38 people shooting in the range. I browsed, and saw some nice guns, but I managed to get out of there with wallet intact :-)

Nice folks!

Guns and Leather is a great place, took my HCP class there back in Nov.... +1 for Mark, good instructor........ And they ARE always busy... Ive had my eye on 3 different Handguns lately, a Kimber Tactical Pro II, a Sig 1911 Carry and a Springfield and each time that I left and went back to look again (always within one week), they have all been GONE!!! (And at one time they had 2 of the Kimbers).....

They did seem to have some good deals, and Mark was a great instructor.

I shot OK. I scored a 90%. I had four fliers at the 15 yard mark and all were within 1" of the black around the shoulders. I was kind of ticked I missed those four so when it came back to 9 feet I put 6 in the head.

G&L is a great place all around. I don't think I have ever heard anything neg. about any phase of their business. That's pretty dang good!

I took my class there on Superbowl Sunday 2 years ago. Mark is a good teacher! I recommend them to everyone that mentions wanting to take the class.

Congrat's thats great, now all you have to do is file the paperwork with TDOS, go and get you CCW badge and check the mail daily for the next three months.

They told us anywhere in the black silouhette counted.

Mike .357 I'll be doing all that but the badge part. I'd rather put my money towards a good CCW.

ccw badge????? Whats that?

A ridiculous, unnecessary, potentially dangerous piece of ornamental metal sold by unscrupulous dealers to unknowing or overzealous HCP holders.

Looks like a police badge but says "Handgun Carry Permit" or something similar.

You don't want one. People here will scorn and mock you.

My :usa:
