Mailing a Handgun -Yes!

I needed to ship a pistol to a plater in Alabama.  My only previous experience where the manufacturer did not send me a shipping label involved paying an exorbitant rate at FedEx.  I sent emails to several dealers in Middle Tennessee asking about shipping fees when a transfer is not involved.  Only a couple even answered my inquire.  One said FedEx comes every day but would not quote a rate.  The next was from from Arms and Ammo in Franklin:  Bring in a Post Office Form 1508 for our signature and you can take it to the post office.  $13.00 next business day! It probably would have been less in a smaller box if I had just wrapped it in bubble wrap.

Are you implying that either one or both are not licensed FFL's?

I have bought handguns online and the seller mails the gun  to my dealer, this common knowledge.  What are you saying is different?
