Guns N More Burglarized

With all that has been said in my opinion there is one thing that we all can agree on. If a thief or a group pf thieves pick a target  they don't hit it on a spare of the minute attack. They will spend time doing their homework and will have specific targets they plan on taking. Like in this hit only hand guns we taken as they knew where each gun was and which ones they were going to take before they ever broke the glass. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that none of them have ever been caught. With enough planning any business regardless of their security can be hit if the thieves do enough homework and research every scenerio possible before they make their move.

Thanks.  That puts my mind at ease.

The Guns & More folks are good people and I really hate that this happened to them.  Unfortunately, events like these set the stage for us to to have discussions that I would *hope* lead to improvements for everyone in the future.  Obviously we have quite a few gun shop owners and personnel on TGO, even if they don't announce themselves as such.

What I hope that we don't become guilty of is simply Monday Morning Quarterbacking things or being critical for the sake of just being critical.

I certainly agree that - based on my dealings with them - they are good people. They appear to be genuinely interested in taking care of their customers. I'm also reminded that the gun shop in Lavergne has bars and huge concrete barriers to their front doors, but they've not only been broken into but also had their building set aflame.

What ever ended up being the cause behind that fire?  Any idea?

City, county, state, & federal law all get their chance to legislate small businesses right out of business. Toss in building codes and fire codes and handicapped access and you have a legal nightmare that has to be navigated. Build concrete bollards and the thuggies will steal a concrete truck.

The guns may need to be put away at night. Cost of doing bidness and all that.

How about we all go steer them some business his week to help them recover and put all these measures in place.

I wanted to wait a bit but it is time for a rimfire can. I guess I need to start the process...

Store will be closed until Monday. Thieves only grabbed items from the first two cases but broke all of the display cases which damaged or got glass dust/shards in nearly all the handguns. Glass dust + oil=bad. They were in and out in about 45 seconds. Smyrna PD was on scene in 3 minutes. Fortunately no long guns or NFA items were taken.

I shop at places that provide me services or goods at a cost (or level of quality) that works for me, not because they ran into an issue.  No offense to them or any business on here.

Well, it was arson, and they suspected someone but could not develop enough evidence to prosecute. That's old information, however, because I choose not to patronize that establishment, (and I moved to Lascassas). I appreciate the treatment that I receive at Guns & More versus the treatment that I receive at that particular establishment.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is an apparent fact.

It does seems a little negligent on the owners part that the only thing between the thieves and the firearms were a couple of pieces of easily breakable glass. I mean, that's the same security level as if they were in a vending machine!

Less. Most vending machines have Lexan windows to prevent someone smashing them.
