Daughter is in her 6th yr at UT, she was at the game and said the cround booed him like she's hasn't seen before, writing on the wall...

Daughter was dating the last quarterback, wonder if she switched to the new kid too? LOL!

I'm on campus 5x a week for work. "The Rock" has been decorated w/ various 'Fire Butch' tags for a few weeks now. Was at Sat's game, 1st half was great, 2nd half a bunch of amateurs. I tend to agree. Find somewhere else to park your 550 Butch. Heard it will cost a pretty penny to buy his contract out, though?

Alabama opened as 34 point favorites next week at sports books.  I can only see that line going up a bit before kickoff.

Zero respect for UT right now as the line wouldn't be that high if they could put a decent team on the field.

Channel 8 news/sports is saying a 35 point underdog right now.

UT can't afford the $14 million, hopefully they won't extend his contract at the end of this dismal season.

His contract goes until 2021, I doubt he will last that long.

He had winning record in SEC 14 of his 16 full seasons.

UT now has one, count it, ONE winning SEC year since he left.

I always liked Phil but maybe he got a little complacent in his last couple of years.  Regardless, he was a head coach that actually called plays, many times for the best.

Not sure if his parents are still alive, I usually drove by his parents home on my way to work, when he was coach and if they lost you could bet the local rednecks would drive over, blow up or shoot up their mail box.

Fulmer had a winning record and was a good coach for the most part, but I do agree he got complacent in the last few years.  His play book consisted of running play over the left guard, running play over the right guard, incomplete pass, and punt.  Good thing we had the Colquitts back then.

Change those first two plays to "Eddie up the middle" and you have Jeff Fisher's playbook.

Hell, only 7 down after a whole quarter, that's actually surprising.

EDiT:  well, praise be.

Hey... with 7 to 28 in the 3rd quarter, the Vols have already done better than Vandy did.  Got to look for that silver lining!

Yah, at least they kept it close (under 40 points). ;)

Further proof of the lack of maturity and discipline our team has.

I had no expectations going into this game so it’s not exactly a surprise we lost, but Butch is gone.  I like the guy but he simply cannot put together an SEC caliber program.

The football program is a real Dumpster Fire.  The Haslams sure are doing a good job of running the show. Maybe Tennessee Football should be called the "Cleveland Browns South".
