So you agree with Mike Ditka?

While I agree it is an issue, it's not as big an issue as what is being presented.  Stats just don't support that, and I personally think they have chosen the wrong poster child for this cause.  Brown was a thug that attacked a policeman and got shot for his troubles.  If they would of chosen Philando Castile, or Levar Jones who was shot at the gas station, I'd have more sympathy for their cause.  But no, BLM, Obama, Hillary (the Dems actually), the NFL players and to a lesser extent the NFL itself,  use this guy's death as a the reason to insult almost the entire country???

Thank you. I did re-read REDs post twice, and it really doesn't change my position. I will always support PEACEFUL protests...

I don't think anyone here disagrees with peaceful protest.   The problem as I see it is when the protest action is being disrespectful to our country and it's symbols.  Just my opinion but these type protest lowers their credibility and tells me they have more to their agenda than what they claim to be protesting.

Sorry, I should have included his quote...

And I really don't think you believe this...

Da Coach, has pulled back on this statement since Monday...

Sure there's been systemic oppression in the past 100 years. It doesn't take a genius to know that. The Irish and the Catholics have been systemically oppressed too, but what's that got to do with today?

EDIT: The only systemic oppression nowadays is called "Affirmative Action."

Well you do have the option to not watch the anthem...Just turn the TV on at the kickoff...problem solved.

Thankfully we live in a country where we can all choose our actions, have our opinions and beliefs. I already solved my problem by not turning the games on. I am also thankful that you still have the right to watch the game if you choose. The unfortunate thing it seems is the media and many in the political arena demand we choose an absolute side,  and if you don't feel or believe the same as someone else,  either you, or they are the enemy.
