Trying to identify a Savage rifle

I've got an older Savage model 116 I'm trying to identify and determine a value for.  It is a pre-accutriger model with an internal box magazine.  It has a wooden stock and a stainless barrel.

Any help would be much appreciated.

From what you posted I find a model 116-us (ultra stainless) made in 1995-98. At 98% grade from 2012 blue book it's $550. Don't have any figures at 2017 prices. Look at gun broker and maybe get an idea of worth there.

What is the caliber?  Easier to compare to like rifles knowing this since some calibers may get a bit of a premium over those that are considered common.
