Thanks for the review and the link @peejman.

I've not heard of them before. They seem to be affordable and since they are local that's a win in my book.

Yes, very reasonably priced and 20 mins from the house. That's hard to beat.

One of the instructors is a coworker and I attended with another coworker. We tried to talk a 3rd into coming, but he had family stuff to attend to.

From a couple years ago with Cool Hand Luke teaching AK rifle class. Location was the blistering south under what most likely looked like a terrorist training camp. I’m kneeling in this photo. Best time of my life at that course.

Went to MSSA today. Got to shoot the hipower and it’s just as awesome as I knew it was going to be. She spits fire!

Also, spent some time shooting some big dollar precision rifles. Bet y’all never imagined I was so freakishly huge.  😆😆

It’s a Crickett Precision Rifle that I got for my daughter. My buddies at the gun shop referred to it as “my first sniper rifle.” It’s fun, adorable, and a tack driver

I took 3 friends from Spain shooting today. Two live here and the other was visiting the US for the first time(I think we gave him a proper TN introduction) It was actually his idea. We went to Shoot Point Blank and I brought my Glock 17 and Sig MPX.

200 rounds of 9mm-$80

Gas for the trip-$5

Watching 3 Europeans grin from ear to ear after shooting-PRICELESS.

They had a ton of questions and did a great job listening to my instructions. I think they all preferred the MPX. When I first took it out of the case they let out a collective "ooooahhh".. I'm sure that means badass in Spanish. 💁

where did you take them too?

It's a new indoor Range/Store off Lovell Rd called Shoot Point Blank. Near Cotton Eyed Joe. It's nice but expensive. It was packed too. Every lane was full.

Sign up for their emails.   They have some great sales.  Also keep an eye on their used case.   Good deals in there too.

I’m not great with iron sights at distance.  And this 12 inch circle is pretty much completely obscured at 100 yards by the front post.   So I was pretty happy with this yesterday.  ChuckTShoes paid down some better groups with that Montana of his but I was happy with this.

Ill be pushing it it a little harder soon.  I’d like to try and get down to half that size.

At that range I would be lucky to see the target period these days with iron sights. I think you did well..........JMHO

And something about a week more recent....

The old Air Marshal Qualification run at the early November Regional Training Day. I don't usually shoot the drills but this time I did. The totals are not totaled out in the final column but I passed with a 145/150 and one of the guys did the math and said I used about 78% of the available time (for whatever that is worth).

They served their purpose. They satisfied the range’s rules that I wear a pair.

I’m used to using my glasses as eyepro. I was wearing my contacts and didn’t have any eyepro with me so I stopped at Wally World to grab some. They were so bad they noticibely degraded my vision. So they moved up high. I need some quality eyepro because it’s pointless to spend as much as I have on glass for my rifles to ruin it by looking through $8 plastic turds.

Just giving you a hard time.

I think I was on the 50 yard range right next door to you, I recognize that little Crickett.

Nice! I really like the place. I only wished I lived closer so I could join and make it a regular visit when I’m at home.

If you saw him, you saw me.  I was the ridiculously morbidly obese feller with him.

Im ridiculously happy with that.  I’m gonna get out there a couple more times with this ammo and see if I can repeat it and get the sights adjusted better    They’re obviously a little high right now.

Took my scout rifle back out today and finished getting it dialed in.   I’m very confident in my abilities with this rifle at 100 yards now.  Also threw the can on to see what kind of shift I would experience.  It’s about two inches low and an inch and a half right with the can.  That’s not worth adjusting the sights and it’s easy enough to remember if I hunt with the can.

You can also see @Chucktshoesrifle on the bench there   That Montana and NightForce combo is an absolute pleasure to sit behind. I’d even go so far as to say that it can make this barely average marksman looks pretty decent.
