Of all the fancy, trick 12 gauge shells I've seen at gun shows certainly they have something to stop a hurricane.

Yea, one will come up with stupid things to think about when one is bored.  Mine?  Ok, probably not possble...but: If a constant stream of aircraft flew through the storm, counter to it's rotation, would it slow the rotation? Since cold water adds fuel to a storm, would dragging icebergs into the gulf drop the temp enough to affect a storm.

Ok, where are my guns and ammo? I need to get out more.

Just one of those causes me discomfort.  It looks like a castrator.

I am gonna start a group to use machetes against tsunamis.

That sounds like something the people I see walking around downtown grasping at the air and muttering profanities would do.

I have wondered what effect a Moab bomb detonated in the eye of a hurricane would have.

It would add a bunch of shrapnel for sure

I don't know that it would do anything to it, but it would be an interesting experiment to do an airborne burst in the middle of one of these storms while still out to sea.

Ok, I guess I must be one of the really old guys here cause back in the 50's they were actually looking at doing experiments at dropping a bomb in the eye to see if they could blow the eye apart and make it fall a part. Howard Hughes was willing to put the money in to it if the Federal Government was really going to try it. He also offered to supply the plane to drop the bomb. I was remembering hearing about that on the news back when I was youngster and I was wondering what ever came out of the idea because I never heard if they did it and failed or never tried it..........

I remember that as well. If anything did come of it, I don't know either.
