What the heck -have not posted in a while, and do not plan to go to the "far",

But Madelyn is still in office, so no gats.  They will have metal detectors and obsess over bags this year - https://www.tnvalleyfair.org/safety.html

and

require Disneyworld bags (clear bags) - http://www.wbir.com/news/local/metal-detectors-clear-bag-policy-at-tenn-valley-fair/471808218 -  (interesting that WBIR overlooked the gats)

So who is the token lawsuit this year?

Well, didn't NRA/TFA and city both settle to drop it, agreeing case was now moot with the 1359 (metal detectors and whatnot), so I guess that's perhaps precedent that could derail any further suits? Or is the TFA one they filed alone still pending?

Seems somebody could challenge the relevancy of the newest 39-17-1359 as relates to the parks statute (can't remember number off top of head). They actually do seem to be in conflict seems to me, but that angle hasn't been pursued?

Went to the fair tonight and it's a real PITA going in. Bags are searched and you have to empty your pockets and be wanded...for an OPEN AIR FAIR!  Ridiculous!  Of course this makes for long lines.

And since everybody has to be searched you can no longer park at the Action Sports (truck & tractor pull, demo derby rodeo, etc) arena were you used to be able to pay for your ticket as you pulled in. You have to park in the more crowded main lot near the zoo entrance and walk back to the AS arena and stand in a long line to be searched if you want to see anything there.  There's also a lot more fencing inside the AS arena and cops/security personnel around to make sure that you don't walk on the wrong side of a fence

Pure security theater...why do we let our politicians complicate our lives like this?
