Dan:

Hook me up, when the time comes. I'd like to join and attend. Already an NRA member, but not a FONRA supporter as yet.

Forked Deer FNRA committee meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 10, '09, 6:30pm at Great Outdoor Store classroom. Everyone invited to hear our plans, participate in the discussion, and hear our Tn. NRA rep, Mike Webb, speak. Y'all come!

Last time I talked with anyone at the Great Outdoor Store, they didn't want anyone, even LEOs, to carry a loaded firearm inside the store. I understand this as far as weapons you are taking to the firing range or for service, but I was told not even your carry weapon.

Do you know if this is still their policy?

Let me be a little more clear, I was never told directly that no one could carry in the store. It was more the impression I got when asking about taking my carry weapon to the range.

I apologize if I misunderstood their policy and if I related it wrong.

Just realised that I hadn't updated in awhile. Things are going really well. In addition to our NRA package, we have had several donations from dealers and manufacturers.I really want to give props to Joe at Hero Gear for the donation (statewide) of the Fantasy Range Day. Also, to Tactical Response for the two day training class.

Other donations:

Taylor Jewellers - Mens and Ladies Watches

Kahr Arms - CW9 9mm semi-auto pistol

Extreme Shock Ammo- case of assorted ammo

C3 Technologies - Two (2) .22LR suppresors

Cobra Ind. - .380 compact semi-auto pistol

King Tires - gift certificate .....

Individuals have donated a Savage M10 Predator package in 22-250, a Mosin Nagant M44 carbine and ammo, a Puma Damascus Folding Knife,an HP Deskjet Printer, even a gift boxed genuine meteorite, plus a whole lot more.

If you are in this area, then get your friends together and attend the Forked deer FNRA banquet!

Ditto. They're great folks over there, so just ask 'em.
