Dear TGO Forums,

I never thought I'd be writing in after all these years, but I have a new relationship.

Today we did it 150 times and only had 2 issues. It's ok, it was in the first 25 times and we were just warming up.

I was smiling and I think my partner was, at least, willing and able.

Strange wobble when we did it, but it's the law of physics.

Even though we just met, my partner does need some cosmetic surgery.

It is not for self esteem, we don't care what other think about us when they see us.

It will make it better when we do it.

On a serious note, I discovered this pistol when they hit the market 2011-2012.

The differences from the original PPS-43 is redesigned to fire from a closed bolt and an inoperable stock.

Based on the first test drive, I think I got a good one.

Negative reviews included:

a mis-aligned FCG, no issues.

Loose safety, mine needs hulk muscles.

Mis-aligned sights, I shot, kneeling, 7 yards, seemed on target.

Other notes of interest:

Sellier & Belliot is loaded hotter than PPU.

It is satisfying to put it on the ground, hold it down with your foot to rock out the mag...stamped steel goodness.

Do not keep with loaded chamber, free floating firing pin with no FPB.

The funny wobble (my educated guess) is the huge bolt moving rearward, changing the center of balance.

Without a stock, the oscillation makes it a novelty at best.

I give credit to Pioneer Arms, mine is the 'second' generation with the non-welded stock. It is SBR-ready. Get the stamp, 5 minutes of dremeling on a single, oversized pin and it should be good to go.

Welcome to the fun world of Russian weapons.  As an off note, did you get that over at SIA?

Yes I did, staff was friendly and I casually tested them.

"What do you know about it?"

"What I read on the internet and this instruction manual, anything you know is probably more than me."

Was a consignment, no wiggle on the price, threw in a complimentary TICS.

Price was fair, I have a good idea of distributor price and retail 5 years ago.

I was wondering what happened to that one.  It was on the wall for a couple weeks and gone when I was in there the other day.
