slide wear on p22

I just got a p22 for Christmas, and I finally got to put 100 through it today since the yard has dried up some. I took it inside to clean it, and there is some wear inside the slide. I tried to take pics, but they are kind of rough. This does not seem like typical wear for 100 rounds. One side has a long shallow gouge, and the other side has a shorter deeper gouge. I've seen this site http://www.freespeech.com/1917-1911M_P22_bible.pdf which is informative, but the wear does not seem the same. Here's a pic. I'll post a better one later. I was in a hurry. I need to run to work now, so I'll check this when my shift is up tonight.

I shot the first shots out of it today.

I think I'll take it back down to Frontier where I got it some time tomorrow and see what those guys think.

Oh well, now that I'm all p-ed off I have to go off to work.

There were metal shavings on the frame where the trigger mechanism was rubbing the slide. The mechanism would raise up a tiny bit when I would pull the trigger. I just wanted a second opinion on whether or not that was just way too much wear.
