The first handgun I owned was a Bersa 380 given to me by my dad.  I will never part with it because of that.  The first handgun that I ever bought myself was a Ruger P-85 back in the early 1990s.  What a piece of crap that thing was.  I promptly sold it and bought a Smith & Wesson 3913.  I miss that gun!

NEF 20ga single for Christmas, I think I was 11.  It didn't get used much because I moved up to an 870 12ga about a year later.  Still have it, it's in near mint condition on the back row of my safe.  I've only ever sold two guns, an AK right before the Obama administration that I let go ridiculously cheap, and a Glock 27.  Wish I hadn't sold the AK. I got something when I sold the Glock that I wanted more, plus Glocks don't have a lot of character to me.   Most of my guns have since kind of sentimental value to me.

Since Bersa 380s keep coming up, that was the first handgun that I bought myself.  It was stolen shortly afterwards and I eventually got it back.  I like to hold onto it because it has a neat story behind it.

Mine was an Ansultz single shot 22. Kid sized, when I was 8 or 9. I had to earn the money to buy it [ $14-15 ]I have never seen one since. BTW I'm 70.

Awesome to read the stories behind the family history associated with that one special gun in many individual collections here.

Iver Johnson Champion in 12 Gauge, 30 inch barrel.  It was gifted to me at age 12, it was the carry gun for my Grandfather and his coon hunting friends.  I rolled my first coon out at age 10 with it, and have taken a pickup bed full of squirrels with it over the years.  I also still have his Greenbriar coat, and every start of squirrel season I take them both to the hickory woods behind his house (I bought the land from his estate) where I killed my first one, and John Roy gets to walk his place again, my son used that same shotgun to take his first game as well.
