I wonder what kind of crappy holster he had that it allowed the weapon to just "fall out."

Posted

thats pretty funny.....sometimes though its not the holster but an improperly sized belt. I know my comp tac holster wont hold my P229 on my "store brand belt" if I have my pants unbuttoned and unzipped. Hence why I typically use a stall so I can take my gun out of the holster and set it on the tp dispenser ;-D

Coulda been worse. If the barrel was pointing a little different, .40 caliber vasectomy.

Here's another link with a little more info

http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,705277512,00.html

when I'm carrying a holster without retention I always remove my handgun from the holster and find a safe place for it til I'm done.

So, is that a known problem for Khars? I'm just thinking there could be more to this than "the gun went off when it hit the floor"... right... it went off after it fell a maximum of what, 3ft?

Got to be more to it. A Khar is too pricey to be that easy to go off.

My thoughts exactly.

If we were reading about a Jennings or a Lorcin, I might believe his story.

Thats the first I have heard of a Kahr going off when dropped. I guess it is possible but I will surprised if there is not more to the story.

Probably more likely he tried to grab it as it started to fall, and stuck one of his booger hooks on the bang switch.

They don't.

There are drop test results on the Kahr site somewhere.

Crap @ home! Just another reason to monitor your diet away from home and only use a nasty public terlet to drain the lizard.

So many things are just a crap shoot, anymore. (no offense to Kahr owners, it was just the best spot to stick my poor humor)

I find it hard to believe that a khar would go off from a 3 ft drop, it does not sound like we are getting the whole story.
