Too many bovines without common courtesy stopping the flow in the aisles and right up at the tables.

Mooooooooo!

Was J&T at the show?

I don't recall seeing them, but then I wasn't really looking.

Too big of a crowd. Could not get to some tables. Too many guys standing in the isles trying to do private deals. I'm surprised that the Fire Marshall would allow that crowd in there.

+100, Entrance fee is too high and then you can't get to see what vendors have because the crowd is so big. They should get a larger site for crowds this big.

The vendors are price gouging as bad as the gas companies were. A small example of this is; Chinese made SKS/AK slings that were $5.00, in Nashville, in December, are $10.00 in January, from the same vendor. I call that a 100% increase in one month.

I won't drive 2 1/2 hours to go again anytime soon.

I saw one thing I was actually interested in buying, and it was waaaay overpriced.

As for everything else. I saw $750 WASR-10's. $500 Yugo SKS'. Oh. My. God.

There was a private buyer who was bickering with a private seller over the price of his $700 WASR-10. The buyer was claiming it was a great deal, because a vendor was selling his for $750. The private seller said, "mine ain't got no damn paper trail either, so Obama ain't gonna know you got it".

I can't count the number of times I heard that or something like that walking around the show today. GIVE IT A BREAK !!!!!!!

Did anyone see any:

AR tactical latches...like badgers or something similar

45ACP Federal HSTs...(I only need two boxes to complete my case)

(doubtful) a trijicon reflex sight like this one

I'm thinking about going by Sunday...if for nothing else to gawk at the newly awakened sheep

Did anyone notice if the knife sharpening guy was there? Need to get my chef's knives done, but I'm not driving that far if he's not there.

thanks

I have learned from going to these shows in the past, go around 3 or 3:30 PM on Saturday or an hour or so before the show closes on Sunday. Easier parking and fewer bovines in the way!

Well, I went and I got to say what a farce it was! 10 bucks to get in!

One thing I was interested in was an Imbel reciever from 2005 but the guy was smokin' crack! He wante 600 bucks for a what I think would be a type 3 reciever!

YIKES!

I was looking out for another 1894 Marlin in 41 mag or 45LC and I found three of them but were all in 44 mag. I don't need to start another caliber.

Ammo prices were in orbit along with 14 and 1600 dollar AR's.

SHEESH!

I always like visiting the old lady selling those wonderful cosmoline scented candles.

Vendors are definitely playing the hype. This would be great opportunity to be a vendor if you had the supply.

There was an entreprenuer/desparate couple who rented out a table and put their whole safe on a table. It was funny when the wife said "It's been tough going the past couple of months." Even though they didn't have any deals, they seamed to be on the right track......buy low....sell high!!!!!

Obama ain`t going to do nothing about our guns, he knows better, vendors are taking advantage of people that buy guns before Obama becomes a president. Thank you all on your comments, I was ready to go but decided to check out your feedback about the show first, I`m going to the movies instead.

Just got back from the show about an hour ago. It was actually one of the better shows I have gone to there. Some vendors were 50-100 over priced. Some were a LOT more, some were on target with what you would expect. I haven't priced used huns in years but I didn't see anything that I liked for the price the vendor was asking. Ammo was crazy. One guy wanted $45.00 for a box of 9mm WWB. I got to see the $400 & $500 SKS's. Nice to have an identical one in the collection. One of the best parts was the booth with a rather well endowed lady that had her jacket unzipped waaaay to far. Lot's of interest at that booth.

I also got to meet Todd from CIS. I got some information from him about their upcoming Defensive Handgun course.

Over all it was better than what I had expected. There were some deals to be had if you had cash and didn't mind haggling for a better price and a little bit of everything to be had at some price.

I certainly didn't mind looking at her or speaking to her either. I didn't really notice what was for sale at the booth...was there a booth?

Good to meet you too Todd.

The venders were great, but i thought some of the prices were high. My problem was with the crowd. I still can't figure why some people can't move to the side to talk. I've always seen this at other shows, but it was the worst i have ever seen. I saw a vender ask two guys to move their rifles off his table and step to the side to have their conversation. And what was crazy was they didn't. I've been seeing this guy for over twenty years and when they didn't move my thoughts were this is gonna be funny. He just stood there and never said another word.

I understand that you sell and buy from people in the crowd but this was my second passing of these guys at his booth. It was my first show there, and i was really suprised at the way the crowd acted. I thought both venders and the place was fine, and i know it wasn't all the crowd, but a select few did more then enough to make up for everyone.
