The latest video I've seen (as of Aug 3, 2017) on the Hudson H9.  Plenty of good overview in here from the company including some really close-up views of the gun.

I've got to say that the included Trijicon HD sights, three mags, G10 grip panels, Hogue backstrap and black nitrided stainless steel construction make for a compelling reason to open up my wallet and pay the $1147 MSRP they're asking.  I've paid more than that for lesser guns!

I'd want to shoot one before I plunked down the cash. It's interesting but not $1200 interesting without a test drive or 3.

What's in the tumor growing beneath the barrel?

The recoil spring and associated, it is how they kept the bore axis so low. The video explains it in part.

Interesting that this video is calling it a 1911.  The grip looks somewhat like that of a 1911, and it has a grip safety, but in every other way it is different.

Still, I want to shoot one.

I didn't hear it called a 1911. I heard them comparing the trigger and general look to a 1911. It's a striker gun with some unconventional guts. Calling it a 1911 would be counter productive.

The title on the video says "Hudson MFG H9 1911."
