Well getting ready to head out to Florida in the morning, been reading up on gun laws, got to travel through Mississippi, Alabama and into Florida. Looks like the laws on carry in restaurants with bars are similar. Not that we are going bar hopping but we do plan to eat out more than usual and not at the usual fast food places.

Here is what it says, "any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose."

I do believe that I'm going to enjoy it. We've rented a beach house with some friends that are bringing their kids too. Some friends of theirs are renting the house across the street. I can see myself sitting on the beach Sunday evening watching the sun go down over the water with a nice cold beer in hand just enjoying it. After we get back, I've got to finish up my house. We're planning on moving into it on the 4th of July weekend.

Anybody have a truck??

I don't have a truck, but gimme a call or whatever and I'll come lend a hand anyhow :D

If you need any boxes, I think my wife saved most of the ones we used...

I'm trying to call some places to clarify the laws and anything I need to watch out for, but it looks as if everything like shooting ranges, shut down at 5pm. I want to be for sure that I run into no problems in Florida.

Just got back yesterday from 5 day trip thru Pennsylvania. Very relaxed gun laws and can carry just about everywhere. It is so nice to go to a restaurant and not have to leave the gun in the car just because they serve alchohol. We went to a lot of places and I did not see a "no guns" sign anywhere. Tennessee definately has a way to go to improve its handgun laws.
