A buddy of mine told me about this, he saw one at the ATA show in Indianapolis...

Uses a standard AR Lower... :D

Accurate to 2" @ 100 yds.

Uses proprietary bolts.

Specifications

Axle-to-Axle: 16 3/4" at brace,

11 3/4" at full draw

feaTAC 15: TAC15Solo

IBO Speed: 412 - 402

Kinetic Energy: 160 - 152 ft-lbs (425 grain bolt)

Mass Weight: 6.3 (without the lower receiver)

Peak Weight: 170 lbs

Powerstroke: 17 3/4in

Now I may want to take up bow-hunting!

Most crossbows you are looking at hunting distances of 50 yards and under. If I am not mistaken, the fastest crossbows are in the 340-350 fps. 420 fps is crazy fast for a crossbow.

I wonder how heavy that setup is?

Just checked PSE website. They claim 412 fps which is still crazy fast. They are currently taking preorders. It doesn't say when they will be ready.

Now for the price: $1299 :D(that is for the upper only; no scope or lower)

So I guess they just doubled the price when they doubled the range.

It is still a little cheaper than a deckd out 10-point Phantom like my buddy's dad has.

That is a hell of a scope for a crossbow, isn't it?

That is AWESOME!

The only problem I see with it is (ironically) that it uses a AR lower

If you want to take it bowhunting here in Tennessee...it is a serial numbered firearm because of that lower. Creates quite the conundrum in the rulebooks.

Just played with these as SHOT.

VERY cool!

I am going to get one in for store so when people come in and ask if we have "archery" gear, I can finally say YES!

Is it well balanced, Joe? It looks like a miniature ballista.

Crossbows have been going more than 400 FPS for about 3 years now. PSE just seemed to make the ugliest one of the bunch. No way am I dropping $1300 plus the price of a lower, stock, trigger for something that ugly.

The bowtech Stryker has been doing 400+ since 06. I have actually shot it through a chrono my self and got 403.5. it costs about $200 more and comes with red dot, bolts (that are not propriatory) quiver, case, and best of all no ATF paperwork.

Want a conundrum? Try being a felon and looking to buy one of these. I guess that if you ordered the lower only then you could register it as other for ever.

while others have a ibo speed of 400ft per sec or better none of them claim 2in groups at 100yards:D

I bet the ones that claim 2 inch groups @ 100 yds wont let you shoot the 400 fps through a crono either out of the box.

I can not tell you what the stryker claims at 100 yds but I have done baseball sized groups at 100 with it and I did not need special over priced bolts to get it done either. Or a back ground and fingerprint check. :no1:
