I have no recommendations, just curiosity.  What do you need to have done?

Action job on one revolver, possible repair on another.  Because they are discontinued models I want the work done by someone with experience; not just some guy with a vise and a hammer who thinks he can work on guns. :)

Contact S&W then and see what they can do for you, I've sent several revolvers back to them as well as to Colt for repair and refinishing. Action jobs aren't out of the question either. I don't think you'd have to worry about them letting someone incompetent doing either custom work or repair.

If you are going to ship it somewhere might I suggest Clark Custom Guns. Tommy Joe Bison their revolver smith has forgot more than most gunsmiths will ever know about S&W revolvers

I wound up using Terry Walden in Manchester.  I'm supposed to pick the gun up Saturday.  I'm interested to see the result.

Thanks for the suggestions,

Whisper

Keith Warner (901-737-1320) in Memphis.  He isn't quick, but his craftsmanship is excellent.

I would check with Echo 3 Armory in Chapel Hill (931) 364-5486.  Rich has been around a number of years but now has a new store front opened.
