Hey y'all. I have a 7mm08 that wanting to have cut down from 22.5 inches to 19. I'm having trouble finding someone to do it close to me in southern middle tn. I got 2 quotes from different smiths. Both quoted me at $90. That seems high to me but maybe not. Anybody know anyone that does a good job or if those prices are pretty standard? Thanks!

Call Jackie Summers at Franklin co Gunworks in Winchester. He's done a couple for me at $45 cut & crowned.
That was for a bare barrel however. Not sure if he may charge a little more for a barreled action......(931)580-6334

Incidentally, he's pretty much my go-to FFL for anything & everything. The shop isn't much to look at, but he's a hell of a good guy to deal with.
