A Machine Gun Corps post in a barn near Haverskerque, 1 May 1918 is what the caption said but I don't see any machine guns.

Looks to me like they are launching German M1913 rifle grenades at somebody.  I don't see a machine gun or a barn either.

Found another copy of the photo and it was labled

German soldiers with a K98 Grenade Launcher, World War 1

That sounds a lot closer

We had a periscope rifle post awhile back but I don't thing this one was posted.

Well, apparently they appropriated some of it, but they definately did have some interesting tech, if they would have managed to field some of it in numbers we may of had an interesting time with them.

Yep, they spent tremendous resources making some really cool stuff. Meanwhile, we kept churning out Shermans, B-17's, and PFC's. We know which worked better.

I agree, but you forgot one of the best, the P51 Mustang.  We would of lost way more bombers and crew had it not been for them.

Looks like this one is begging for a caption. I don't think the ammo on the belt will work in what she has on her shoulder.
