That looks like a Winchester '73.  She's got the trigger held back and her thumb ready to pull back and release the hammer.  So, I would not want to be in front of the muzzle!

Watts riots, 1965. I was visiting the LA area on business back around 1972 and was out driving around one evening at decided to pull into a burger joint for supper. I got my food and was sitting in my rental car eating and a very large black man tapped on the window. I rolled down the window and he said do you know where you are? I said not really.
