Well, it took just a wee bit longer than I had originally hoped, but the guys at Coal Creek Armory really came through. I had a West-German made, police trade-in, Certified Pre-Owned Sig P226 that I have wanted to spruce up for some time. I finally decided to have it refinished in flat dark earth ceramic, and I also added some Truglo TFO sights and a Hogue wraparound grip. I couldn't be happier with the end results. A big +1 to Eric, Richard, and JWP at CCA for taking care of me. So, without further ado, here is my new (old) baby...

Thanks for the kind words. CCA is in West Knoxville (Farragut, actually), so it's only about a 15-minute drive from my house in Powell. I took the gun in, explained in detail exactly what I wanted to have done, asked a few questions, and then just waited...

The ceramic finish is supposed to be tougher than just about anything else out there--even tougher than the factory Nitron finish. Time will tell on that one...

Astra's post pretty much answered the first part, and I was too dumb to take any before shots. Didn't even occur to me until I picked up the finished pistol and realized how good it looked. I will tell you that the slide had a pretty significant amount of holster wear, as well as a poorly-milled spot where a serial number had been removed (probably a European gun). The gunsmith did an excellent job of cleaning up the spot, and you can't tell it was ever there now.
