Now I realize that certain states have certain restrictions when ordering ammo or anything firearms related. What suprised me was the fact that Illinois was the only one on here that you had to go through FFL. So that being said, is THIS what the rest of the United (and I use that term loosely) States has to look forward to with BHO as the commander (or lack there of) in chief? BTW I got this picture from Cabelas' website.:screwy:

Illinois has no law against shipping in ammo (Chicago may). The shipper is just required to have a copy of the FOID card on file.

<O:p</O:p

I also don’t read that as saying they have to ship to an FFL. It only says that the order must be placed through their FFL Gun Department.

and if you don't have a FOID card?? (*thats a gun registration card, btw) then you can't buy ammunition..and you can't own a firearm.

gun registration at its' finest...although they would state that it's a "citizen" registration..but it's all about restricting the ownership of firearms to those folks that are in their system.

so when I hear "oh its JUST a foid card." it reminds me of someone saying "oh its JUST a tattoo on your forearm..it tells us who you are!",... who was it that made the thread "papeiren bitte"...

ILL. a pox on the state and it's politicians.

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><ST1:pIllinois doesn’t register guns.

I can legally buy ammunition in Illinois and I don’t have a FOID card.

But yes… if you are a resident of the state you are required to have a FOID card to purchase or possess ammunition.
