I've downloaded them years ago. I would guess the 1960's, they're from business's in California so you know they're old.

The ammo hasn't gone up nearly as much as the guns...

I have a guns and ammo around here somewhere from August 1965... K43s @ $89.00. Lugers from $40.00 for Krieghoffs to $200.00.... Awe, the good old days.

30 years from now, these will have been the good old days... I'll be in my 70's and like the guy's I knew when I started collecting 20 years ago that were in their 70's, I won't give a cup full of flatulance, I hope.

Keep in mind that the 40 bucks for the 1911 might be more than a weeks pay.

I remember my grandparents house payment being something like 36 bucks a month.

Keep in mind that the 40 bucks for the 1911 might be more than a weeks pay.

I remember my grandparents house payment being something like 36 bucks a month.

When I started collecting Lugers and 1911's the rule of thumb was One month's pay for a Luger, 2 week's pay for a 1911.

"back in the 80's" that meant a decent luger cost $1,400 and a decent 1911 cost $700. This rule held true to about 2000, when a decent luger cost $3,000 and a decent 1911 about $1500.

But it got out-right crazy in the last 5-7 years. Glad I got out. Black Widows fetched $1,000 in 2001, now they are $3,000, Kreighoffs are $5,000 to $10,000.... a good old Navy 1911 you could have bought in 1990 for $900 is now $4,000++.... craziness...

I sold my last SS High Turret mount sniper in 2004 for $12,000, exactly $10,000 more than I paid for it in 1990.

I hope someone has an explanation for this.
