Surefire 6P

Tried packing a 6P years ago and it would always find a way to turn itself on. Pocket carry and on the belt in a kydex comp-TAC gave me the same results.

After the Fight at Night class I wanted to try a little more lumens so I cut a couple of rings for my lights and so far problem solved.

That is Mr. Pickle modeling the light. Now the lights are only temp on with the button and no twist to stay on.

Basically, he fabricated a ring that goes between the tail cap and the body of the flashlight so that the tail cap cannot be screwed down far enough to activate the "constant ON" state of the light.  It's the shiny silver piece in his photo.

The 6P is like many lights where you have a Constant On feature that is activated by tightening the cap, deactivated by loosening the cap, and a Momentary On that is activated by a pressure switch on the tailcap.

outside diameter 1.0 inch , inside diameter .88 inch and a thickness .115/.120 will stop the cap just a little before it activates and gives minimum slack for the temp on button
