A few C&R questions

Recommended Posts

I have done some searching but want to make sure I have this right.

With the C&R Application you have to send a Proof of Citizenship form?

Can this be one printed from a PDF file? If not where can I get one with out waiting on the ATF to send me one?

Also on the application in Section 4 "Name of County in which Collecting Activity is Located" this is the County you live in correct?

Since it took a month to get the forms I want to make sure I dot all my i's and cross all my t's.

Thanks everyone,

Verne

Where does it say you need to send a proof of citizenship form? I don't recall that. And yes, its the county in which you reside.

Doesn't say it any where I can find and didn't come with my form. In some searching on the net people were talking about it. If I don't need it that is a plus for me.

Thanks for the info too.

IIRC, the separate citizenship form was part of the old package, the newer application did away with the separate form. Don't quote me on that but if you are super concerned about it, just give your local ATF office a ring.

I am not sure it is required, because the citizenship certification is included on the C&R application itself. I sent in the form anyway, just to be on the safe side.

If you still want the form, PM me your email address and I will send it to you. I have it in PDF form.

Thanks guys. All I could find in my searching were stuff that was several years old.

Reservoir Dog: Thanks but I already have it on PDF. Found it while looking for info.

Thanks again,

Talked to the Brentwood office of the BATFE yesterday and the gentleman said I would have to send a Citizienship form with it. Printed one off and mailed it on my way home. So now is the wait and I hate waiting on the ATF. At least I'm not waiting for another stamp.

Thanks again guys.

I got my C&R last October. I had sent in the form that BATF sent me (to BATF and Chief LEO). There was no separate citizenship form in the packet.

But I'm sure it won't hurt anything to send one.

I just renewed in November and there was a citizenship form in my packet. Still waiting for my lic. to get to me. Guess they're kind of slow this time of year.

Got one in today and it did not have that form. I'm going to mail it right back just like they mail it to me.
