Scope Recommendations for Ruger 10/22

Like the title says, I'm looking for recommendations for a scope to put on my Ruger 10/22. Purpose is for plinking and varmint control.

You may be able to find it elsewhere cheaper.  Glass is Nikon quality, and you can use their ballistics calculator if you drop it on any other caliber.  My buddy runs these on 22-250's and .223's perfectly.

Thanks, but greater than $200 for a plinker scope is too rich for my blood.

I wouldn't spend $200 on a rimfire scope either.

Somebody has a Nikon P-22 in the Gear Classifieds section for about $175 ?  I have Simmons 3-9x40 scopes on two of my Marlin 60's and have been pretty happy with them.

Yup, same scope I was going to recommend.  Nikon makes a decent scope, I usually get the ones designed for centerfire just in case I want to swap out to another rifle, but in all these years its never happened so my next 10/22 will wear a rimfire scope like that one.
