.45 ACP Prices

I've been looking for good prices on .45 ACP because I'm not sure that I'm to the point of reloading (yet, with school and work, I hardly have enough time to shoot) and I'm finding that it's near impossible to find .45 ACP for less than wally world's winchester value packs. Even remanufactured black hills and georgia arms FMJ and LRN stuff is more expensive than the 32.74 cents you end up paying per round for the WWB. How has walmart managed to undercut even the bulk sales guys? Or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Does anyone know of any other quality ammunition at an affordable price?

try blazer brass from wally's. i use it in 9mm and its cheap. i've seen it in .45 but don't know how much. typically, bb is cheaper the wwb. check that out.....wally's has the best prices going for blazier when you can find it. bb has been cheaper than bulk pricing on internet, go figure... :death:

The bulk sales guys seem to have raised their prices when everyone started buying up ammo. Walmart for some reason didn't. Either they had a contract that set it at one price, or the prices from suppliers haven't been raised as much as the vendors lead us to believe. Anyways, Walmart is about the best i've found for .45, and the blazers don't shoot bad for being the cheapest, I was putting them through the same hole with my RIA.

Its because the 'bulk ammo selling guy' is simply raising prices on his stock to simply take advantage of the 'obama situation.'

The manufacturers havent raised their prices... so thus walmart keeps the same prices.

I would bet that WM is second only to the U.S. military in ammunition purchasing from manufactures. I would also bet that “bulk†retailers would pale in comparison to the amount of ammo shipped to WM.

Even with a C&R discount I can’t do any better than WWB from Wal-Mart.

It’s good range ammo.

I just wish they would also carry the good stuff in handgun ammo. I buy quality .308 Winchester at nearly the price of what some are paying for junk off the net.

WWB is good target round, but I also like PMC Bronze. It's just a tad more, but still around .30 to .33 cents per round. I buy mine at Guns and Leather.....reliable
