Email notifications

I have my notifications turned on to instant email for threads I am subscribed to but I never get emails. I have to go to User CP to see if there are responses to threads, even threads I started or just surf.

From what I've read on here, some email clients will not accept notifications from TGO. My Comcast won't allow emails from TGO, but Yahoo and Gmail will.

+1...make sure you check your junk mail and other filters.

You can turn spam filter on/off for Comcast. Can't really tweak it, just yea or nay.

I never go thru comcast homepage for email. I use Thunderbird for everything. I have checked junk mail folder. I will check my mail setting on the comcast server and see if I can mod there....may be the problem, had not thought of that. Will let you know if that works.

FWIW, I use Comcast at home and have turned off all of the anti-spam settings in my Comcast mail account and still don't get TGO notices when I tell the forum to send them to my Comcast address.

My gmail address always works.

Comcast's email filtering is draconian. There are too many good, free email alternatives out there for someone to seriously consider wasting their time trying to twiddle with the Comcast settings. Then again, some people love a challenge and would try to ice skate uphill.
