New guy here, but not new to forum discussions.  Thought I would throw this out there.

Is any forum better/worse for posting 1911 related topics, questions, photos, etc?  Just curious.

Off to bed, I'll get your replies in the morning.

I was thinking primarily on this site. Is there a particular area or sub-forum?  Some sites have specialty areas for discussions on revolvers, C&R, Milsurp, etc.  I did a little poking around last night but couldn't find one.

I've been to the site mentioned. I'm not a fan of its size or format. So far I like this one much better.

Lots of 1911 guys on here that will entertain conversation on there favorite pistol.
Lots of plastic gun fans too that dont mind jumping in cause deep down they love 1911s too.
Just post open handgun forum and there'll be a kickstart following.

Simply declare that 9mm is superior to .45 and they will all congregate.

Because we really know that .38 Super is the best........

If anyone in the Knoxville area wants to see a display of 1911's that's sure to make you drop to your knees and shout "Praise be!" go over to SIA (Security Investment Appraisals) on Middlebrook Pike.

One of the owners has dedicated an entire room of that very nice shop to his personal collection of milsurp goodies including probably 40 or so old 1911's.  I didn't count them all but it is a lot!  All in excellent condition.  It's really a beautiful sight.

Here is the only picture that I have of my newest .38 Super.

Master Gunsmith Sam Hoster has it right now - - - he is doing a retro style build for me on this one.
